Locate the following components

• Power cable – supplied with the unit
• Surge protector – with or without power board – not supplied; strongly advised
• Stylus for screen – supplied – make sure this is unpacked and available. You should not use anything else on the screen of the device.
• Door Interlock – supplied, optional use – this is a small plug that can only be installed by an electrician. It is used either to remotely lock the laser if the door to the laser room is open OR activate a remote light or illuminated sign indicating the laser in use. See A on diagram below.

Power Supply and Cable

• Plug the power cable into the power supply and an appropriate power socket.
• Optional interlock connection socket at A.

Base unit

• Position the handpiece cable connector in the socket underneath the main console. The socket is a push-pull connector that must be correctly lined up.
• Insert the connector, applying pressure on it until the locknut automatically stops in the socket.
• Be careful to locate the handpiece cable so avoid entanglements and rest the handpiece in the holder on the side of the unit

Cantilever arm

• Turn the unit on.
• Make sure there is enough room to open the cantilever arm
• Press the Setup button on the home screen.
• Open the cantilever arm by pressing the image of the closed unit, located bottom central on the setup screen.

• the button can also be used to close and lock the arm into place for transport.
