Safety
The Australian Standard for Laser Safety (AS NZS 2211.1-2004) includes the following room requirements for safe lase use
- Warning signs on entrances
- Avoid reflecting surfaces in the room
- Keep laser paths short i.e. enclosed room with diffusely reflecting material/paint for walls
- Include a fire extinguisher in room
Additional suggestions:
Authorised personal should only have access to the room.
Use curtains or pull-down blinds to cover overwise reflective surfaces.

Position of laser in room
The device must be connected to the AC power supply.
Position the unit so that it is within reach of where the patient will be treated, leaving room to manoeuvre the robotic head into the best position.
Do not pull the device around the room using the cantilever arm or robotic head.
